Situation:

Maker of sustainable, high-performance textile finishes, company needed to expand operations and capabilities to meet growing global demand and manage cash to get critical R&D projects to market.  

Actions:

  • Created a global network of contract manufacturing partners and 3PLs to service clients in US, Asia, and Europe at production scale.
  • Built an in-house ERP system utilizing existing tools and systems to streamline raw material, finished goods, customer orders, and fulfillment. Improved accounting processes between US and Asia WOFE, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Improved cash flow by optimizing the repatriation of funds from Asia WOFE to US, establishing customer credit & payment processes, and negotiating payment terms with raw material suppliers.
  • Managed fundraising rounds with current investor group.

Results:

Expanded global network yielded 34% increase in sales. Improved inventory-to-cash cycle which continued funding of R&D work and enabled 2 new projects to market in a shortened timeframe.
